Mission
The Continuing Education Association of Pennsylvania (CEA/PA) was formed in 1989 to promote and support quality programs of public and private continuing education in the state of Pennsylvania. It serves as an advocate for the post-secondary adult learner and encourages the professional development of its members.

Purpose
The association makes an effort to provide the highest level of services and benefits to the Commonwealth's continuing educators and the adult learners by:

  • Providing an exchange of information, ideas, relevant issues, and successful program models
  • Providing technical assistance and resource sharing
  • Addressing, analyzing and generating solutions to problems facing CE professionals and adult learners
  • Strengthening and improving the quality of continuing education programs
  • Ensuring that continuing education programs are conducted in an ethical and cost-effective fashion
  • Interacting with elected officials and other adult and CE organizations to promote legislation benefiting non-traditional learners
  • Encouraging and facilitating professional development and career management for CE personnel in Higher Education
